The Kia EV6 can be recharged in 20 minutes at an 800-volt DC fast charging station. The base model has a 58-kilowatt-hour battery, while the upper trims have a 77.4-kilowatt-hour battery.

Kia says the EV6 GT has 576 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. All-wheel-drive models are rated at 105 MPGe in city/highway driving.

Genesis Electrified G80

The Genesis Electrified G80 is the latest addition to Genesis’ electric line. It features a dual-motor setup that produces 365 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This makes it capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds.

Genesis Electrified G80 has a snazzy fastback roofline and chrome fender vents. Inside, it features recycled wood, naturally-dyed leather, and a dark green and white color scheme.

Genesis Electrified G80 also offers the latest in connectivity. It comes with a head-up display and wireless charging. There are also a variety of active safety features, including forward and rear collision avoidance assist. Users can also control the car with their fingertip or voice command.

Genesis Electrified G80 is powered by an 87.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. It can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 22 minutes. With a standard 11kW charger, it’s possible to get a stable driving range of 427 kilometers.

Genesis Electrified G80 offers a long list of passive safety features, too. They include blind-spot and rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, and high beam assist.

BMW i7

BMW i7 is the latest in BMW’s electrification story. It’s an all-electric luxury sedan that’s been designed to be more luxurious than its gas-powered counterparts. Powered by an electric powertrain, it’s a fast and surprisingly comfortable ride.

BMW’s i7 electric car has an all-wheel drive system and a battery pack that’s big enough to cover 310 miles of EPA mileage. The battery pack also can be plugged into a DC fast-charging station for an added 80 miles in ten minutes.

Inside, the i7 feels like a high-end 7-Series. It’s a roomy sedan with a bevy of convenience features. Power doors and a key fob allow owners to open and close them with ease.

The interior boasts fine materials throughout. There are even fine-tuned controls for climate and ventilation. Those seeking more luxury can opt for the i7 Executive Lounge package, which adds plush headrests and massage functions.

The i7’s LED Panoramic Sky Lounge roof is a real eye-catcher. It comes with an embedded color light display, which is something that’s only offered by luxury car companies.

Acura RDX

The future of electric cars is now within reach for Acura. At the Monterey Car Week in California, the automaker unveiled the Precision EV concept, an all-electric SUV. It previews the styling of the e:Architecture flagship electric vehicle due in 2026.

The Precision EV Concept features a dual-mode cockpit, inspired by the cockpit of a Formula One race car. A low driving position and high-performance sightlines create a driving experience that is at once both sporty and relaxing.

The Acura Precision EV concept also incorporates FSC-certified wood and marbled plastic interior trim. An illuminated diamond pentagon grille, Acura’s “particle glitch” lights, and a unique front lighting package highlight the car’s performance-focused design.

Interior features include a two-grip yoke-style steering wheel and a low-slung driving position. An illuminated, aluminum instrument cluster surround and marbled-plastic instrument panel trim contribute to the luxurious interior.

The Advanced Package includes all-wheel drive and adaptive suspension with a spectrum of settings. Other amenities include a proper spare tire and a three-year, complimentary AcuraLink subscription. This subscription comes with a host of services, including stolen vehicle location, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Alexa compatibility.

Lexus RZ

Lexus’ new RZ electric SUV is the future of electric cars. It features an innovative powertrain, a slick, athletic design, and a host of safety and technological innovations.

Lexus is a car company that’s been pushing boundaries since 1989. The company’s mission is to develop carbon-neutral vehicles by the middle of the century. In order to do so, it has developed a new 400-volt electrical architecture that can charge the battery at up to 150 kw. This means the RZ’s battery will be able to go from 0% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Lexus RZ is the first Lexus built on an all-electric platform. The all-wheel-drive system will offer 100 percent torque to either axle. The powertrain also improves acceleration. Unlike traditional cars, the RZ will be able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds.

The RZ is powered by two electric motors, a 150 kW in front and an 80 kW at the rear. These provide over 300 hp. When combined, these two motors deliver a 0-to-60 time of 5.2 seconds.

Mercedes EQE

Mercedes EQE is an all-electric luxury sedan. It’s based on a more compact version of the EQS chassis. Besides the oomph, it has a lot of the technology and features found in its larger brethren.

For one, the EQE comes with a 91 kWh battery. This is enough to drive 350 miles in real world conditions. The battery is rated for 410 miles on the European WLTP cycle.

What’s more, the EQE has a 10-year/155,000-mile battery warranty. And in Europe, charging is available at up to 11 kW AC. In the US, the charging capacity is 22 kW.

The EQE also has a high-tech, user-friendly infotainment system. Standard features include a Burmester sound system, wireless device charger, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. You can also upgrade to a 17.7-inch central display, or opt for the hyperscreen, which combines three screens behind sweeping glass.

The EQE has a futuristic dash, complemented by a slim vent band. This is a clever design, but it’s not really all that new.

Other features include a parking package, heated front seats, and a driver assistance package. The EQE also has a 12.3-inch instrument cluster on the center console.

Lightyear One

Lightyear is a Dutch startup that has recently been racking up some impressive achievements. It has sold over 100 vehicles, which is impressive considering it is still in its infancy.

Lightyear has also won the World Solar Challenge in 2015. In addition to its solar power, the company uses a low windshield and supportive seats, which help improve its efficiency.

The name of the game for Lightyear is to produce a low cost and high efficiency electric vehicle. This is accomplished by using lightweight materials and solar panels.

To get the most out of the sun’s energy, the car has a long tail and solar cells covering the hood and rear quarters. These cells are connected to a 60 kilowatt-hour battery and will add 7.5 miles of range for every hour the sun is shining.

Lightyear claims that its solar car has the longest range of any electric vehicle of its size. According to the WLTP test cycle, the Lightyear One will be able to travel 450 miles.

The vehicle will feature four in-wheel electric motors that generate a combined total of 136 horsepower. Although the company hasn’t released any official estimates, it says the figure is “just over two times the average for a comparable EV.”

Lightyear says that its vehicle has a spec sheet that is “nearly as detailed as a textbook.” They say that the odometer is actually “not a big deal,” because you can get by without recharging for a couple of hours.

Jeep

Jeep has been around for decades, and its long-standing reputation as the world’s best off-road SUV manufacturer has never been stronger. But with a push toward an electric future, the company is transforming to meet the needs of the new generation of drivers. Now, with its parent company Stellantis’ “Dare Forward 2030” strategy, the brand is aiming to become the leading electrified SUV brand in the world.

As part of this plan, the Jeep brand has recently announced the launch of three new, fully electric SUVs. The first is the Avenger, a compact electric SUV that will make its real-life debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. This model is smaller than the current Jeep Renegade and is intended for younger buyers.

In addition to the Avenger, Jeep plans to unveil the electric Wrangler and Grand Wagoneer. These models are scheduled for production in 2024 and 2025, respectively. They will join the line of plug-in hybrids that Jeep has already introduced.

Jeep also intends to offer electrified models in China. This is the first time the company has confirmed that it will sell electric vehicles in the Chinese market.
